To connect your computer to the Gen 2 router via ethernet, please do the following:

 

1.) Make sure your computer has an RJ45 Ethernet Port

2.) Use an standard Cat5 or above Ethernet cable and plug it into your computer RJ45 Ethernet Port.

3.) Plug the other end of the cable into the Lan1, Lan2, or Lan3 port on the Gen 2 router.

 

DHCP is on by default, which means your computer should retrieve an IP address automatically.  (The whole process should be plug and play simple.)

If you have any trouble with this, please check your computer settings to make sure they are correct.  Most late model PC's and Laptops will be able to connect via ethernet with no special configurations needed.  It's very automatic.
