The Insty Gen 2 router makes linking another internet source easy, here we will discuss linking your Starlink to the gen 2 router.

This guide is for the Starlink Mini - other starlink devices may be similar.

1.) Locate the LAN 4 Port on the Insty Gen 2 router.

2.) Plug an ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the Starlink Mini, and then to the LAN 4 port on the Gen 2 router.

3.) Navigate to the "INTERNET" page on the router settings.  You can access this page at http://192.168.8.1 using the router admin password you entered during the setup procedure.

4.) Watch this page, refreshing the page every minute or so.  Eventually, the router will find the Starlink and configure it for use in the system.

Once the Starlink shows up on the INTERNET page, you are ready to go.

On the Starlink mini, the ethernet port is available by default.  You can leave the Starlink Mini wifi radios turned on if you wish.  If you want to preserve power, consider shutting down the wifi connections on the Starlink mini.

When the Starlink is linked to the LAN 4 port, you should be able to utilize the Starlink phone app to see the status of the Starlink while you are connected to one of the Insty wifi networks.

Please see the "how to use the Gen 2 router" for information on how to set the priority of the internet sources within the Gen 2 Router.
